<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyarylene sulfide resin, by which the polyarylene sulfide resin having a small oligomer content can be produced at a low cost in a high yield. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the polyarylene sulfide resin is characterized by reacting a polyhalogenated aromatic compound with a sulfidizing agent in a polar organic solvent without adding water to the reaction system from a reaction-starting time to a reaction-finishing time to produce the polyarylene sulfide, removing and recovering the polar organic solvent from the reaction mixture comprising the polar organic solvent, the produced polymer and the by-produced alkali metal salt by a flush method, and then washing the solid contents containing the obtained polymer with an organic solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
