SOLID SUPPORT HAVING ELECTROSTATIC LAYER AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid supporter to which DNA can readily be immobilized, to which a large amount of DNA molecules can be immobilized and of which the bond strength to DNA molecules is high.

SOLUTION: The solid supporter has an electrostatic layer for electrostatically attracting nucleic acid molecules and bears functional groups that can covalently bond to nucleic acid molecules on the substrate. This solid support can readily be applied to the PCR technique.
