<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a deterioration in display owing to the gap unevenness of a liquid crystal layer occurs if the resistance value of connection wiring is lowered by adding a low-reflection metallic layer of chromium etc., to the connection wiring in order to reduce the deterioration in image quality owing to crosstalks. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel, the connection wiring consisting of a two-layered structure composed of indium tin oxide (ITO) layer and the low-reflection metallic layer is formed in a non-image display portion on an upper substrate and, on the other hand, a shielding film is formed in a non-image display portion on a lower substrate. The gap between the upper substrate and the lower transparent substrate is made equal from an image display portion to the non-image display portion by adjusting the thickness of the shielding film with respect to color filters formed in the image display portion on the lower substrate or by adjusting the diameter of spacers disposed in the non-image display portion with respect to the diameter of spacers disposed in the image display portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
