<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide most efficient protection for a patient's eyes under most suitable illumination. <P>SOLUTION: A microscope for the operation especially for the operation of an eyeground is provided with an illumination beam for a target field (11) inputted and reflected in an observation beam path. The illumination beam (13) from a conventional light source (9), a stroboscope lamp (9a), or a laser (9b) forms pulse in an operative conditions, and/or can scan an upper part of the target field (11) with a narrow beam. The microscope is constituted so that the pulse frequency and/or scan frequency of the illumination beam (13) may exceed the limit of an observer's eye flicker. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
