PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device capable of vertically transferring articles to storage stories with an elevating carrying device, stopping at a plurality of storage sheds provided in horizontal positions and carrying in/out the articles to the selected shed without using a pallet. SOLUTION: Plate-shaped matters are placed at even intervals in a comb shape in a storage shelf for a vehicle in the storage shed, and the overall length and width are set appropriately to the vehicle. The plate-shaped matter is also placed at even intervals in the elevating device side in alternating positions different from those in the storage shed side in an intersecting direction, and it can be moved horizontally or vertically by a guide rail such as a wire. Thus, the vehicle can be carried in/out without a pallet. Furthermore, the vehicle is rotated by a roller on the plate-shaped matter in the elevating device side, thus it can be automatically carried in/out back and forth. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
