<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payment system capable of quickly and surely confirming menus selected by a user in a self-service type staff canteen. <P>SOLUTION: A user puts a plurality of dishes 10A-10D selected from among a plurality of prepared dishes (menus) on a translucent tray 20, and brings it to a RFID (radio frequency identification) reading surface 31 provided with a coordinate measuring means, and places the tray on the RFID tag reading surface 31, and a RFID tag 11 attached to a back surface of each of the dishes 10A-10D is red under the control by a control device 33. A display device 32 displays the reading information of the RFID tag 11 with positions (photographs or figures) of the measured dishes 10A-10D under the control by the control device 33.
