<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic media having a function which quickly displays and continues to display visual information required in non-contact manner. <P>SOLUTION: A display part 11 is provided on the same substrate 12 as that of an IC card. The substrate 12 receives the supply of electric power in non-contact manner, also receives and transmits digital information, drives the display part 11 with the electric power it receives in non-contact manner and instantly switches a state of transparency/a state of opacity. The state of transparency makes it possible to refer to display contents preliminarily printed in a preprint layer 14. The display part 11 continues to keep the state with no electric power. It is possible to change display information as well as the digital information in non-contact manner and visually recognize the display information instantly and continuously. By this, convenience is improved. Further, repeated rewriting equivalent to the number of times of writing and reading by an IC is possible, and a display function equivalent to the life of the electronic media can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
