<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual chlorine meter having good sensitivity, even with a small-sized electrode, simplifying a washing mechanism and reducing its production cost. <P>SOLUTION: The residual chlorine meter 1 is provided with a hollow testing vessel 3 whose internal space 4 allows drinking water to flow therein; an electrode unit 7, having a positive electrode 5 and a negative electrode 6 and being arranged in the internal space 4 of the testing vessel 3; a concentration calculating device 8 which calculates a concentration value of residual chlorine in the drinking water, on the basis of current detected by both electrodes; and a display section 9 which displays results calculated by the concentration calculating device 8. In the electrode unit 7, the negative electrode 6 is constituted so that a metallic material 20 for the negative electrode is fixed to an insulating support member 17, and the positive electrode 5 is constituted so that a metal wire 21 for the positive electrode is wound thereon, in a state of being insulated with respect to the negative electrode 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
