摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens array of which the yield is improved, manufacturing costs are reduced and performance is improved, an optical module using the microlens array and a method for positioning the optical module. <P>SOLUTION: The thickness of a substrate between two intersection points where the optical axis of each of three microlenses 34<SB>1</SB>-34<SB>3</SB>intersects with the one-end face 33a and inclined face 33b of a lens substrate 33 is different in each of the microlenses 34<SB>1</SB>-34<SB>3</SB>. Thereby three kinds of substrate thickness having respectively different thickness values can be selected in one lens substrate 33. Since probability that the optimum substrate thickness can be selected can be increased without substituting the lens substrate 33, the defective product ratio of plate microlens arrays 31 can be reduced and the yield of the plate microlens arrays 31 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
