<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the existence of installation of a guide plate and the presence of a sheet unable to travel on a paper carrying passage by a single sensor in an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises the paper carrying passage 130 for allowing travel of the sheet material for performing printing processing, an attachable-detachable guide plate 140 for forming a part of the paper carrying passage, a displacement member 150 becoming a normal state position when the guide plate 140 is installed and when there is no sheet material 90 unable to travel on the paper carrying passage 130 and an abnormality occurrence position when the guide plate 140 is not installed and when there is the sheet material 90 unable to travel on the paper carrying passage and a sensor 190 for detecting time when the displacement member 150 exists in the normal state position and the abnormality occurrence position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
