<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film transistor (TFT) display plate for a liquid crystal display device exhibiting excellent characteristics exceeding those of an SIPS (Super In Plane Switching) mode. <P>SOLUTION: The display plate includes gate lines which are formed on an insulating substrate, data lines which are insulated from the gate lines, common electrode wiring which includes a plurality of common electrodes formed within pixel regions constituted by intersection of the gate lines and the data lines, pixel electrodes which are formed within the pixel regions and include a plurality of branches parallel to the common electrodes, and TFTs of which the three terminals are respectively connected to the gate lines, the data lines and the pixel electrodes. The small angle among the angles formed by the common electrodes and the gate lines ranges from 7°to 23°.
