<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-precision liquid crystal device which is excellent in display quality by sufficiently securing necessary holding capacity, and has a structure in no risk of decreasing in yield caused by disconnection of a data line. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a plurality of data lines 6a and a plurality of scanning lines 3a crossing each other, TFTs 30 arranged in the dot areas 41 divided by these data lines and the scanning lines, and pixel electrodes 9 electrically connected to the TFTs. Moreover, the liquid crystal display device is provided with capacitive electrodes 44 electrically connected to the pixel electrodes, and capacitance lines 3b arranged facing the capacitance electrodes via a dielectric film to form the holding capacitance 60, and the capacitive electrode 44 corresponding to any one dot area is laid off the dot area into the adjacent dot area holding the data line 6a in-between. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
