PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a felt material comprising polybenzazole fibers, slight in mechanical strength drop even if exposed at high temperatue and high humidity for a long period. SOLUTION: This felt material is obtained by incorporating polybenzazole fibers with a highly heat-resistant organic pigment≥200°C in thermal decomposition temperature soluble to mineral acids, preferably having in the molecular structure -N= and/or NH group(s), preferably, perinone and/or perylene, phthalocyanine, quinacridone or dioxazine. The felt material has a tensile strength retention percentage of≥85% after exposed to an atmosphere at 80°C and 80% RH for 700h and a tensile strength retention percentage of≥50% after exposed to xenon light for 100h.
