PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having simple structure and containing a new metallocene compound playing a role of an excellent illuminant. SOLUTION: An organic polymer electroluminescent element contains a compound represented by chemical formula (1) between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. In the chemical formula (1), R independently or simultaneously represents hydrogen, a 1-20 C straight-chain or branched alkyl group, or an aromatic group, M is a transition metal or non-metal on the periodic table, and n is an integer of 6-100.
