PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the lowering of performance for sequential processing, when a command is issued from another host device when a sequential command group is issued from a host device, in a multi-initiator environment. SOLUTION: A forefront sector of a received command is compared with a sequential processing-finished sector and the maximum extension sequential processing sector when the command received during the processing is not an sequential access, using the sequential processing-finished sector for indicating the sector where sequential processing is finished, and using the maximum extension sequential processing sector for indicating an extendable range for the sequential processing, and the received command is queued into a command queue to continue the sequential processing, when the forefront sector on a recording medium exists before a final sequential processing sector or in a rear side of the maximum extension sequential processing sector.
