PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting device for a return spring for a brake shoe enabling a brake shoe to be detached without need of a special tool, or a return spring to be detached easily, and realizing detaching work safely. SOLUTION: A lock pin to lock the return spring is installed on an oscillating cam provided on a brake shoe to be capable of oscillating. A first cam stopper and a second cam stopper to regulate an oscillating range of the oscillating cam are provided on the brake shoe. When the oscillating cam is engaged with the first cam stopper, the return spring can be detached. When it is engaged with the second cam stopper, spring force of the return spring energizes the oscillating cam in such a direction as to be engaged with the second cam stopper. In this state, the oscillating cam is locked by a lock means to the brake shoe to be restrained from oscillating. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
