PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threaded casing making it easy to position the tip of a stopping member and the threaded part of an outer cylinder relative to each other. SOLUTION: In the threaded casing, the outer cylinder 1 having an internal thread 2 on its inner peripheral surface and an inner cylinder 3 having an external thread 4 on its outer peripheral surface are engaged with each other by means of the threads 2, 4. To adjust the height of the inner cylinder 3, an opening 6 penetrating the inner cylinder 3 from its inside to outside is formed through the inner cylinder 3. The stopping member 7 which can engage a grooved part 5 formed on the internal thread 2 of the outer cylinder 1, with the tip 7a of the stopping member protruding out of the opening 6, is mounted inside the inner cylinder 3 in such a manner as to be rotatable about a horizontal axis 9. A positioning piece 10 which protrudes inwardly from the inner surface of the outer cylinder 1 is provided integrally with the lower end of the portion of the outer cylinder 1 where the grooved part 5 is formed.
