<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laser welding method capable of performing lap welding of a base metal and a mounting member without causing degradation in strength. <P>SOLUTION: The welding is the laser welding and comprises irradiating a flange section 4 with a laser beam along welding loci 16 from a welding start point 12 to a welding end point 14 to perform the welding. Also, the welding is turned back before arrival of the welding loci 16 at the end point 14 and prevents the start point 14 and the end point from overlapping. In addition, the point where the stress concentration due to the external force exerted on the base metal 1 and the mounting member 2 does not occur is decided as the end point 14. The welding loci 16 are approximately configured to a C shape and are provided, after turning back, with a welding locus longer than the crater produced at the end point 14 to be the end point 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
