PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output all organized channels that are multiplexed and transmitted onto the same screen at the time of multichannel broadcasting. SOLUTION: A decoding device is provided with a time information extracting part 12 for respectively extracting time information of m pieces of image stream data from a multiplexed stream, a count increasing part 28 for increasing a count value of the extracted time information on the basis of the clock of a second synchronizing signal, and a control part 14 which compares the time information whose count values are respectively increased with time stamp information respectively included in the m image streams, controls decoding processing of m decoding parts 17a, 17b and 17c in accordance with their coincidence, reads decoded image data stored in the image data storing parts 17a, 17b and 17c, arranges the decoded image data on the same screen and outputs the decoded image data.
