PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a picture on a projection face complicatedly deforms and a distortion is difficult to be corrected at the time of adjusting the picture when the vertical and horizontal picture distortions co-exist. SOLUTION: A device is provided with a detection means 52 detecting an inclination against a horizontal face in a direction where a picture is projected, a specification means 50 specifying a first correction value for reducing a trapezoidal distortion in the vertical direction of the picture projected on the projection face (screen, for example: not illustrated) in accordance with the inclination that the detection means 52 detects, an input means 51 inputting a second correction value for reducing the trapezoidal distortion in the horizontal direction of the picture projected on the projection face and a picture conversion means 42 converting the picture so that the trapezoidal distortion for correction, which corresponds to the given correction value, is generated in the picture displayed on picture display means 20R to 20B whenever the first correction value or the second correction value is given.
