PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the high frequency characteristics of an electrolytic capacitor as required by personal computers becoming more sophisticated. SOLUTION: The electrolytic capacitor wherein electrode extracting leads having rods are respectively connected to the anode foil and the cathode foil, which are wound via a separator to form a capacitor element, the capacitor element impregnated with an electrolyte or the capacitor element with the electrolyte is inserted to a case with a bottom, and the opening of the case is sealed with a sealing member, is characterized in that the ratio of the diameter of each rod of the electrode extracting lead to the diameter of the case is selected to be 0.25 to 0.45, and an interval between the rod of the electrode extracting lead connected to the anode foil and the rod of the electrode extracting lead connected to the cathode foil is selected to be 0.1 to 3.0mm.
