PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam drum improved in performance by preliminarily accelerating vapor-liquid separating action before a separator. SOLUTION: This steam drum is provided with a steam drum body 3 for performing steam-liquid separation of a steam-liquid mixed fluid in the saturated state; a plurality of riser tubes 9-12 connected to the upper part of the steam drum body 3 to supply the steam-liquid mixed fluid to the steam drum body 3; a shroud 2 provided at an upper half outer edge part inside the steam drum body to allow the steam-liquid mixed fluid from the riser tubes 9-12 to flow through; and a cyclone separator 4 for separating the steam-liquid mixed fluid taken in from the shroud 2, into steam and water. A steam-liquid separation accelerating means for increasing the tube diameters of the riser tubes 9-12 or the like is provided for preliminarily accelerating steam-liquid separating action before the cyclone separator.
