摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of realizing the enhancement of the image quality of an image by eliminating the difference between scanning lengths in the main scanning direction due to a plurality of laser beams. SOLUTION: In the modulation part 48A of the image forming apparatus, the widths of a predetermined number of pixels on the scanning line in the main scanning direction due to a laser diode 43A are corrected so that the scanning lengths in the main scanning direction on a photosensitive drum 11 due to the respective laser beams of two laser diodes 43A and 43B become same. In this correction, by extending the cycle of the image clock signal corresponding to a predetermined number of the pixels on the scanning line in the main scanning direction due to the laser beam of the laser diode 43A, the cycle of the image PWM signals corresponding to the predetermined number of the pixels is extended. Herein, the predetermined number of the pixels changing the cycle of the image clock signals are determined corresponding to the random numbers generated in a random numbers generation circuit 66.
