PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen structure allowing the placing not only on a head side but also on a foot side beside a bed in a minimum space. SOLUTION: In this screen structure, a screen comprises two faces wherein widths of the two faces are different, and is vertically symmetrical. Thereby, because the structure allows the placing of the screen not only on the head side but also on the foot side beside the bed by placing the screen upside down without rotating the screen by 90°as before, the screen having the minimum space can be provided. If connecting mutual side end edges of the two faces by a connection means such as a hinge, the screen is folded to reduce the storage space. By providing a lateral plate in the face long in the width of the screen, a paper roller or the like can be installed beside a knee wherein the paper roller is easy to use, near the side end edge of the face having the long width. Even when folding up the screen, the paper roller or the like is not pinched between the faces of the screen to allow compact storage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
