<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot connector to be surface mounted etc. on a printed circuit board and accommodating a small-sized memory card, whereby any undue card can be hindered from intruding into a card accommodating space part. <P>SOLUTION: The slot connector 1 has a accommodating space part capable of accommodating a memory card removably where contact(s) for connections are provided at one end of the accommodating space part, which is equipped with an improper insertion hindering means to hinder any undue memory card of small shape from being inserted thereto, wherein the improper insertion hindering means is composed of a pair of engaging members 5 consisting of resilient member pieces to be retreated from the accommodating space part when a normal memory card to be set in place is accommodated in the accommodating space part and a slide bar 4 which serves as a member installed on the way of insertion in the accommodating space part and engaged with the engaging members so as to hinder intrusion into the contact(s) and is disengaged from the engaging members only when the engaging members are retreated from the accommodating space part and moved in the inserting and drawout directions by the memory card intruding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
