<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the temperature of an object even if a distortion occurs with the object. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature of an object 40 is measured based on change in Brillouin scattering phenomenon that occurs in a plurality of sensing optical fibers 18 installed for the object 40. The optical fibers 18 are housed inside a protective tube 42 which is packed with a conductive viscous material 44, so that the optical fiber 18 is secured inside the protective tube 42.
