Print form measurement method for determining difference between projection points on surface of a print form to enable location compensation of patterns projected by different illustrating units

Method with which the location of an illustrating position relative to a further illustrating position on the surface of a print form of a print mechanism is determined. According to the method the reflected light intensity of an illustrating pattern, projected on to the print form surface, from first and second points is measured so that the intensity can be used to determine relative position. Independent claims are also made for further methods for determining the distance between first and second illustrating points on the surface of a print form and methods for correction of the temporal resolution of an illustrating beam and a measurement beam.
