The fitting consists of a cylindrical metal body (1) with one central hexagonal aperture (3), eight similar apertures (2) around the edge. A plate magnet with central hole (4) is connected to the metal body. The flank clearance (10) of the apertures is 6,5mm for conventional bits and hexagonal shafts. Alternatively, the apertures (9) may be circular with a diameter of 7,5mm. The fitting is fastened by soldering to a bit holder.
