<p>A transfer device (10) installed somewhere between the ends of a line for producing or processing articles and adapted to transfer printed boards from an upstream device to a downstream device comprises a base section (20) for the transfer device, a transfer section (30) adapted to reciprocate on the base section between the upstream device and the downstream device, an article delivering mechanism (40) installed at the upper end of the transfer section and adapted to deliver an article received from the upstream device to the downstream device, and a driving mechanism for reciprocating the transfer section (30). The transfer device (10) is constructed so that a space is defined between the upstream device and the transfer section (30) or between the downstream device and the transfer device (30) depending on the position of the transfer section (30) so as to enable an operator or the like to move across the line.</p> |
