A cutting edge changing device in a slitter stand, comprising a storage that is mounted to upper and lower cutting tool turning axes and stores on a classified basis various round teeth and various round teeth positioning components constituting a cutting tool, and a transferring device that holds a combination of a plurality of the round teeth and/or round teeth positioning components, transfers them up to the upper cutting tool turning axis and /or the lower cutting tool turning axis to assemble a cutting tool, and holds and transfers back a combination of a plurality of the round teeth and/or round teeth positioning components to the storage from the upper cutting tool turning axis and/or lower cutting tool turning axis; and a cutting edge changing method. The above simple device structure permits a short-time changing of a cutting tool axis in a slitter stand to accomplish man-power saving. |
