The mudguard arrangement for a motor vehicle has the mudguard's edge region formed by a deformation profile (7) fitting under the edge region (5) of the front bonnet and upon which rests the front bonnet edge region in the bonnet's closed position and which during an accident conditioned front bonnet loading is lowered together with the front bonnet edge region by a deformation distance (13). The front bonnet edge region is supported indirectly on the mudguard deformation profile by a seal (15).
