<p>It's used for internal fixation of the load bearing bones. It accelerates the bone knitting and ensures early mobilization. The bone contact surface of the plate has reverse saw-nails from the mid-line towards the ends, thus allows compression but not distraction. It also reduces the plate contact with the bone surface and allows periostal perfusion. Transfer of axial load to the bone fragments is ensured by enlarging the screw canals longitudinally. The screw applications may be adjusted to the desired compression and dynamization level (distance). The plate can be supported by cable grips through the cable canals or tunnels.</p> |
