The differential gear housing including the axle drive wheel and the parking brake toothed arrangement is formed by shaping a single component. An Independent claim is also included for a manufacturing process for a differential gear. Preferred Features: The differential gear housing has an opening (16) on one side, which is closed by a housing cover (14) having a neck (20) with a bearing. The housing cover is welded onto the differential gear housing.
