PURPOSE: A charger of a mobile terminal is provided to ensure mobility of a mobile terminal for users' convenience by charging a battery in an almost dead condition with an internal battery of a charger without connection to a power source. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal mounting type battery(40) is placed on a charger, connected to a charge terminal and charged by power supplied through a first charge path of the charger. An internal battery(26) is charged by power supplied through a second charge path of the charger. A charge path unit(24) forms the first and second charge paths to selectively supply power applied to the charger to the internal battery(26) and the mobile terminal mounting type battery(40). A controller(32) controls power to be selectively applied to the internal battery(26) and to the mounting-type battery(40) on the basis of a charge state of both batteries(26,40) when power is applied to the charger, and controls power charged in the internal battery(26) to be supplied to the mounting-type battery on the basis of a charge state of both batteries(26,40) if no power is applied to the charger.
