The invention relates to a cigarette dispenser (1) for self-service shops, comprising a device (7) for holding and propelling cigarette packets (10), in addition to a device (3) for holding and propelling cigarette cartons (5), said cigarette dispenser (1) being closed by at least one locking grille (14) that can be optionally driven by an electric motor. The invention is characterised in that the device (3) for holding the cigarette cartons (5) is located in a lower position than the device (7) for holding the cigarette packets (10) and that both devices (3, 7) are configured and arranged in such a way that in order to remove the cigarette packets (10) and the cigarette cartons (5), the former (10) are propelled in a horizontal or oblique direction and the latter (5) are propelled in a vertical direction. |
