A cryogenic assembly extracts krypton and/or xenon from air and has a first gas feed pipe (201) to introduce a fraction containing krypton and xenon to a methane ejection column (24) below the head. The pipe (201) is esp. linked to an intermediate point on the methane removal column (24), which is positioned alongside a theoretical or actual base panel above the sump. - A cryogenic assembly extracts krypton and/or xenon from air and has a first gas feed pipe (201) to introduce a fraction (13, 14, 15, 16, 26, 121) containing krypton and xenon to a methane ejection column (24) below the head. The assembly has a return pipe (23) to the methane head for liquid oxygen containing a small quantity of krypton and xenon. The assembly has a product pipe (125) for the removal of concentrated krypton and xenon from the lower part of the methane removal column (24). The assembly further has a head gas pipe (30) for the removal of a gas containing methane vapour from the upper part of the methane removal column (24). |
