<p>In an apparatus such as a sweep type fingerprint sensor in which a finger is moved along a sensor surface while partial images are successively acquired so as to acquire information required for individual authentication, it is possible to obtain images having no distortion using a small memory capacity and at a high speed, enabling collation by high-quality feature information. The apparatus includes image sampling means (10) for making video of biological information and successively sampling a plurality of partial images, feature extracting means (20) for extracting a feature and its position from each of the partial images sampled, relative position detection means (30) for detecting relative positions of two or more partial images according to a feature existing at a portion where two or more partial images are overlapped among the plurality of partial images sampled, and correction means (40) for correcting the position of the feature in each partial image according to a distortion amount calculated according to the detected relative position and the feature position in each partial image and acquiring the relative position of the feature.</p> |
