PURPOSE: A memory card connector is provided to prevent separation of a plate or damage of a housing by improving joining strength by correcting deformation of a side wall of the housing and suppress vibration in thickness direction, thereby improving the manufacturing yield. CONSTITUTION: A casing part is attached to a recording and playback apparatus, having a slot for inserting a memory card. A terminal part is contacted with a terminal part of the inserted memory card. The casing part is formed of a metal plate(2) and a plastic housing(3), and is assembled by inserting protrusions(31) formed at the top of a side wall(3c) of the plastic housing into slits(21) formed at a bent part of the metal plate.
