A dispensing system includes a plurality of covered dispensers and an uncovered dispenser for dispensing sheet materials. Each covered dispenser includes: a tray surface (10), arcuate in cross-section (9), for receiving a roll of sheet material; a cutting surface fixedly attached to a front edge of the tray (12) or to the forward edge of a rotatable cover (25); where the rotatable cover is tabbed (24) or counterweighted (18) and in either case has an offset pivot point (7, 8, 42) above the principal rotational axis of the tray (41); the counterweight (18) being integral to the back edge of the cover (14); and a blade guard (2, 16) fixedly attached to the cover on a side opposite the counterweight (18) or a stationary cover shield (21). Each uncovered dispenser includes a dowel (6), whereby a roll of sheet material is mountable. |
