PURPOSE: A background image service system and method are provided to allow a user to change a background image of a screen of a mobile terminal with multiple convertible multimedia contents as designated to thereby dynamically decorate the background image. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia contents database(160) stores multiple multimedia contents. A mobile communication terminal(110) requests a background image service and selects some background image multimedia contents among the multiple multimedia contents stored in the contents database(160). A background image information database(150) stores a profile of a user of the mobile communication terminal(110) that has requested the background image service and information on the selected plural background image multimedia contents. A background image management server(140) provides each multimedia contents stored in the multimedia contents database(160) to the mobile communication terminal(110) through a wireless communication network(120) at every certain periods according to the information on the selected background image multimedia contents. |
