The present invention relates to a traction collar comprising a body (1) having axial extension, said body (1) being equipped with inflatable sections (5, 7, 9) and means (13, 26) for supplying air to said sections (5, 7, 9) or to dispose of aire from said sections (5, 7, 9). The traction collars in the market only offer individual adaption to the carrying person to a limited degree. Significant for the traction collar according to the present invention is that the body (1) is manufactured from cellular plastic material, or a material having corresponding properties, that each of the sections (5, 7, 9) comprises at least one compartment (15, 17, 22, 23, 24) provided in the body (1), and that an air cushion (14, 16, 18, 19, 20) is provided in the compartment (15, 17, 22, 23, 24).
