Ball-point pen has housing and operating element injection moulded from thermoplastics and incorporating all switch elements for engaging pen in writing and retracted position

The pen comprises a housing (1) and operating element of thermoplastics made in the injection moulding process so that all the elements for engaging the pen in the writing and retracted position are incorporated in these two parts. The switch mechanism can have a radially and tangentially immovable detent cam on one part and a switch spring (1.6) with hooked catch on the other part. An automatic sequence of deflection and engagement movements is generated so that the switch mechanism can clearly change the writing refill between the retracted and writing positions.
