The ball joint has a ball pivot (4.1) fixed on a first gear member (1) and fitted onto a ball socket (5.1) fixed on a second gear part (2). A sealing face associated with the relevant second gear member is formed by at least one ring face (8.1) which surrounds the open side of the ball socket. The seal (9.1) is fixedly connected to the ball socket at this first ring face. The seal is made by using a rubber elastic material such as plastics. The seal can be made from two different materials.
