A drill bit (10) and a manufacturing method thereof that ensures integral mounting of a drill (14) and a drill holder (12) with a simplified construction and in a simplified manner. The drill bit (10) has a drill (14) with a bit (14b) and a shank (14c), and a drill holder (12) formed with an axial insertion hole (11) for fitting the shank (14c). An engaging part (14e) is formed at a base end of the drill (14). A blind hole (13) that intersects the insertion hole (11) is formed in the drill holder (12) to form a restricting part (10e), or a stopper (40) equivalent to the restricting part (10e) is fitted in the bottom of the blind hole (13). Engagement of the top of the stopper (40) or the restricting part (10e) with the engaging part (14e) prevents relative rotation between the drill (14) and the drill holder (12). <IMAGE> |
