BISPHENOL-A/BISPHENOL-S HYBRID EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A bisphenol-A/bisphenol-S hybrid epoxy resin composition and a fiber reinforced composite material are provided, to improve the mechanical properties and the fast curing of the composite material. CONSTITUTION: The bisphenol-A/bisphenol-S hybrid epoxy resin composition comprises 50-95 wt% of a bisphenol-A type epoxy resin; and 5-50 wt% of a bisphenol-S type epoxy resin. Preferably the bisphenol-A type epoxy resin is represented by the formula 1 and the bisphenol-S type epoxy resin is represented by the formula 2. The fiber reinforced composite material is obtained by coating the composition on a fiber, soaking it and curing it. Preferably the fiber used in the composite material is selected from the group consisting of carbon fiber, glass fiber, boron fiber and aramid fiber.
