<p>A fluid quick connector (30) is mountable onto the threads (20) of a threaded fluid component (10) in a sealed fluid connection. A retainer element carried by the fluid quick connector (30) is engagable with the threads (20) on the second fluid component (10). In one aspect, the retainer element is at least one tab (106, 108) projecting inward into a bore in the quick connector body for engagement with the threads (20) on the fluid component (10). In another aspect, the retainer is a resilient member (60) carried within an expanded chamber in the quick connector body (30) which has resilient legs (66, 68) positioning a tip end (70) into engagement with the threads (20) on the fluid component (10).</p> |
