The heat pump for a heating installation has an integral condenser (3) receiving through flow of a coolant and in heat exchange contact with the heating fluid. The volume of the water boiler (2) which stays in heat exchange contact with the condenser is determined so that, in a non-turbulent heating fluid flow there is not more than 5 degrees Kelvin heating per minute of operation of the pump.
