摘要 A magnesium thin plate for a spread product being excellent in workability, characterized in that it is produced by providing a rolled Mg alloy plate comprising 2.0 to 5.0 wt % of Al, 0.5 to 2.0 wt % of Zn, less than 0.05 wt % of Mn, and the balanced amount of Mg and inevitable impurities, subjecting the alloy plate to a cold rolling and then to a heat treatment, and exhibits an X-ray intensity ratio: [an X-ray intensity for (0002) face]/ [an X-ray intensity for (101(a bar in the upper position)1) face] of 1.0 to 3.5 in the X-ray diffraction, yield strength values in the parallel and perpendicular directions to the rolling direction of 100 to 300 MPa, and an average grain diameter of 3 to 100 mum. The magnesium thin plate is excellent in workability, in particular, press workability, and can be produced at a reduced cost.
