PURPOSE: A toner is provided to inhibit lowering of an image density caused by high temperature and high humidity environment and charge-rising phenomenon upon slow printing, and to possess excellent fixing property and high temperature offset characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The toner comprises at least a binder resin comprising as a main component a polyester resin, a wax, and a colorant. In the toner, when measured wettability against a mixed solvent of methanol and water in optical transmissivity at an optical wavelength of 780 nm, a methanol concentration in the mixed solvent is 45-65 vol% at optical transmissivity of 80% and of 10%, respectively; and a melt index (MI) is 0.1-10 g/10min as measure at a temperature of 125 deg.C and a load of 5kg. Further, the toner comprises a THF(tetrahydrofuran)-insouble resin component in an amount of 5-40 wt% and a THF-soluble component in which a main peak in a molecular weight region is 3000-20000 and a ratio of component with a molecular weight of 10000 or less is 50 wt% or more.
