A pump for viscous fluids for chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing has a wave shaped rotor (120) inside a slider (182) to move the fluid from an inlet port to an outlet port. To improved the seal between the rotor and the slider flat surfaces are provided on the outer extremities on both sides of the rotor. This increases the sealing area and reduces the seal wear.
